Woods County commissioners meet Monday

Commissioner David Hamil said he wanted to purchase a couple of trucks outright, and will be submitting bid specifications at the next meeting. In preparation for that, he asked for approval of the transfer of appropriations within the Highway Fund from District 1 Maintenance and Operations to District 1 Capital Outlay in the amount of $170,000. The proposal passed unanimously.
The OSU Extension office asked for and received approval for transfer from Maintenance and Operations to Personnel Services an amount of $1,159. This was to correct an error on the wrong account being entered.
John Smiley reported a UHS repeater had gone out and was replaced. The commissioners approved his motion to junk the old one.
Randy McMurphy, seconded by David Hamil, moved for approval of the resolution to direct the county treasurer to reimburse the county election board’s Personnel Services General Fund account pursuant to Title 62, Section 335 of the Oklahoma statutes. The motion carried.

Commission Randy McMurphy answered questions about Highway 11 next to Camp Houston being closed into Freedom. He said the State Department of Transportation told him it would be closed for 45 days.
