Timberlake FFA members succeed

Cade Jenlink placed second in the essay contest and received a free jacket, and KaLynn LeForce placed third in the essay contest.

Some Timberlake FFA members received great news: Gabby Solis, Dalton Leierer, Matthew Geckler, Joel Pecha, and Cade Jenlink have been selected to receive a free FFA jacket through the Blue Jacket Program. The Oklahoma FFA Foundation "Blue Jacket Program" is designed to provide eighth-, ninth- and 10th grade FFA members the opportunity to earn their first FFA jacket. SandRidge Energy Corporation will provide 71 FFA jackets, Express Pros/Robert Funk will provide 71 FFA jackets, the FFA Foundation Presidents Club will provide five FFA jackets, and Oklahoma Panhandle State University Collegiate FFA will provide three FFA jackets. A total of 150 FFA jackets will be awarded to deserving FFA members across the state.

KaLynn LeForce and Cade Jenlink were also recognized for placing second and third in the senior division of the Alfalfa County Farm Bureau essay contest. The students completed a two-page essay and submitted it to the county Farm Bureau office. The senior division contest was open to all 10th, 11th and 12th grade FFA members in Alfalfa County. ounty Farm Bureau essay contest.
