Supt. Burgess visits with Freedom Town Board

The superintendent of the Freedom Schools, Frieda Burgess, was on the agenda of the Freedom Town Board's Dec. 14 meeting. After the meeting started, Mayor Shad Brackin asked what she wanted to talk about. Burgess, replied, "No particular item." She went on to ask the board to provide input for projects or repairs on the school.

Burgess explained that roof work is being quickly accomplished with a loan, but that more extensive work will require a bond issue. Ty Harper said he thought the front of the school should be more attractive. Burgess agreed, saying it has been quite some time since any...
