48th Annual Nescatunga Arts Festival soggy but entertaining

People huddling together under umbrellas and by tents was a popular look of the day at the 48th Annual Nescatunga Arts Festival.

Nescatunga Arts and Humanities Council President Charla Parker said she even called some of the Oklahoma City weathermen, and they assured her Alva should not have rain until later in the day Saturday.

Well, the prediction was wrong. The 48th Annual Nescatunga Arts Festival started out cool and a little overcast – absolutely perfect for the crowd to peruse fine arts and crafts and enjoy nice entertainment. Then the rain began to fall, at first lightly and then heavier. The rain would quit for a few minutes and then finally came back stronger than the last time.
