Airport commission to reorganize

The Alva Airport Commission will be electing a chairman and a secretary for their board at Monday evening’s meeting. The commission will meet at 7 p.m. at the airport.
The commission members will consider a contract to repaint the trim and siding of the terminal building with SheaDeeLea’s Painting for $3,300. There will be discussion and action to authorize the city business manager to pay Angel, Johnston & Blasingame, P.C. up to $3,163 to audit the airport financial statements.
In other action, the board will vote on extending time beyond the 30 day policy to Cory Washburn for the purchase of a new airplane. There will also be discussion and possible action on repairing the washouts by the drainage channel between the taxiway and the runway.
The commission will also hear a report from the airport manager and a report from the city council.
