Southern Nazarene falls 4-1 to Ouachita in Arkadelphia

ARKADELPHIA, Ark — Southern Nazarene had eight shots on goal, but only one found the net as it fell 4-1 to Ouachita Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (2-6-0, 0-2 GAC) out shot the Tigers (1-5-1, 1-1 GAC) by two, but Ouachita totaled seven saves that made the ultimate difference in the match. Bryson Thomas scored the first two goals of the game for the Tigers, and Kiara Rolen tacked on another to give Ouachita a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Kylie Sharp connected in the 61st minute, giving the Tigers a 4-0 lead. The Storm got on the board in the 89th minute, as Hannah Robinson scored her first goal of the year on a pass from Ashlee Widener.

SNU had 20 shots for the game, while Ouachita had 18. Brianna Evans and Meagan Chase each had two shots on goal for the Storm. Ashlynn Pritchett recorded three saves for the Storm and Heather McLarry recorded four for the Tigers.
