Goldbugs post 48-8 win over Pawhuska

After a hard-fought victory against Perry last week, the Goldbugs had an easier foe in Pawhuska Thursday night, winning 48-8. The fall break game played in Alva was pretty much decided in the first half with a lopsided 41-0 in Alva's favor.

The Goldbugs managed to score six times in six possessions in the first half. It was decided to run the clock in the second half to complete the game. Alva put in wholesale substitutions, but the second string held their own. The younger Goldbugs put seven points on the scoreboard, and finally allowed Pawhuska to earn eight for the final score.
