Harding Football Earns No. 7 Seed in Super Region Three, Headed Back to NCAA II Playoffs

SEARCY – For the Harding football team, the NCAA Division II Playoffs realistically started in Week 4. After opening the season with three straight losses, the Bisons collected win No. 1 on Sept. 23 against Oklahoma Baptist. Harding hasn't lost since, and earned the No. 7 seed in Super Region Three and will travel to meet No. 2 seed Indianapolis Saturday. Kickoff time will be announced later.

It will be Harding's second straight trip and fourth overall to the Division II Playoffs. The Bisons also reached the postseason in 2012 and 2014 and advanced to the national quarterfinals last season.

Harding wrapped up the regular season with an 8-3 record after defeating Arkansas Tech 24-17 Saturday in Russellville. The Bisons finished in second place in the Great American Conference. Indianapolis is 11-0 and had an undefeated regular season for the first time since 1953. The Greyhounds were the champions of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.


The winner of the Harding-Indianapolis game will play the winner of No. 3 Ashland and No. 6 Northwest Missouri State Nov. 25.
