Airport commission to consider new windsock lighting

The Alva Regional Airport Commission will discuss and vote on purchasing several items during their meeting Monday. The board will meet at 7 p.m.

After hearing reports from the city council and the airport manager, the commission will discuss stocking drinks and snacks at the airport terminal with possible action. The agenda also calls for discussion and action on the purchase of an ice maker for the terminal.

At the last meeting, the manager was asked to check on better lighting for the windsock. The commission members will discuss and vote on possible approval to purchase a new internally lighted windsock system in an amount exceeding $1,000. There will also be discussion and possible action on repairs and painting of the airport terminal.

At the end of the meeting any board members may make comments and inquiries not addressed by the agenda. Time will also be allowed for comments from citizens present.
