Two new acquisitions for the museum

In November 2017, a square wooden tube was discovered under College Street in Alva, just east of the old Central National Bank. Manuel Gonzales, a construction worker in charge of repairing the street, made the discovery and gave a section of it to the museum and a section for display at Starr Lumber Company. Later in November, Don Heinsen, an Alva resident, noticed the pipe at Starr Lumber and recognized it as being similar to tubes he had seen during his years redoing streets in downtown Fort Worth.
