BRINGING YOU A TRIBUTE TO VETERANS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY – These are members of the South Barber High School drama class and cast, who will perform a serious play, "Booby Trap," this Saturday night and Sunday afternoon: (from left) Dakota Vickers, Glenna Williams, Sadie Rogge, Isaac Doherty, Adrienne Allison, Daryl Lamb, Neal Gugelmeyer, Nick Malone, Destiny Lyons, Ines Jakob, Brandon Baysinger, Noah Howerter, Eric Paozin. Not pictured: Kylie Wright, Kathleen Martin and Karli Little.

Area veterans and those who love/respect soldiers and their sacrifice to the USA do not want to miss the South Barber drama class play Feb. 24 and 25.

You can enjoy a dinner theater setting Saturday evening starting at 6 p.m. Reservations are required for this brisket dinner prepared by Syd Sterling of Yur Place in Hardtner. The meal will be served in the commons area at South Barber High School in Kiowa with the play beginning at 7 p.m. The Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m.

To reserve your tickets and learn pricing for the dinner, call or text 620-866-0963. That is the number of Cathy Colburn, who is directing the play. She is filling in for teacher Meagan Henry who is on maternity leave. Pay at the school this week if you can. You can pay at the door; however, no-shows who reserve tickets are still responsible for payment.

The play is "Booby Trap" by Ed Monk, which portrays the life of a soldier in a life and death situation. Colburn said the production is dedicated to all veterans for their time and service to our country. Music and verse will be in addition to the play, as a tribute to this dedication.
