Bison Roll to 101-89 Win in Weatherford

WEATHERFORD – Oklahoma Baptist won its NCAA-era best 10th game of the season, taking down Southwestern Friday afternoon, 101-89.

Vladimir Nemcok and Chandler Rickey had double-doubles and both joined Brantly Thompson with a career statistical best. Nemcok had 29 points, career-best 14 rebounds and was three assists shy of a triple-double. Rickey had 14 points, 10 rebounds and a career-best six assists. Thompson added a career-best 21 points.

Harrison Stoddart added 16 points.

The Bison never trailed and led for the last 37:45 of the game. The Bison used runs of six, seven and eight points to build a 48-36 lead and held a 52-46 advantage at the half.

Two seven-point OBU runs in the second half got the lead back to 68-49 with 15:36 left in the game and an 8-0 Bison run gave the visitors their biggest lead, 93-71, with 7:54 remaining.

The Bison will try to make it 11 wins Saturday in a 7:30 p.m. season finale from Ada, taking on East Central.
