Student work featured in tonight's Art Walk

The First Friday Art Walk will be held tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. on Alva’s downtown square. The Graceful Arts Gallery and Studio on the south side of the square will host the “Tour de Quartz” Traveling Exhibit featuring Oklahoma high school talent from the Quartz Mountain Summer Arts Academies. NWOSU Artist in Residence Marianne Hoffmeister will have an exhibit of her small graphite works. There will be music by Fred Riggins and refreshments will be served.

April Ridgway will be setting up on the sidewalk in front of the gallery with her Sunflower Road Sweets.

The Runnymede will host the NWOSU Art Society Winner’s Exhibit with the best works from their annual spring art show. Refreshments will also be available at this location on the east side of the square.

The ACT I Theater, located on the north side of the square, will be open to visitors as the play crew preps for their upcoming adult comedy, “The Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens.”

Several retailers will be open late to offering shopping opportunities.
