The Chamber of Commerce monthly Friday breakfast was held at the Cancun Mexican Restaurant on April 20, with Sen. Casey Murdock, left, and Rep. Sen. Casey Murdock opened his remarks to members of the Alva Chamber of Commerce Friday morning by saying, "The last two weeks have been something else. If I could go my 12 years without seeing that again, it wouldn't hurt my feelings any."

Murdock, like Carl Newton who spoke before him, emphasized the excellent behavior of teachers from his district during the demonstration at the State Capitol. He said, "Carl and I are blessed.
