Cereal box camera begins lifelong interest

 

A camera from a cereal box, using a 126 cartridge, sparked Jon Linder's interest in photography. That was about 1974, but his interest rekindled in 1983 when he attended the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver. In his first juried show, he took Best of Show in the fine art black and white category.

Linder's photography is on display this month at the Graceful Arts Gallery in Alva. The Alva native visited with people attending the First Friday Art Walk July 6 at the gallery.
