Cheerleader Haylee Jantz and basketball player Chloe Jantz, sisters on opposing teams, try to get control of the basketball in Burlington's second annual Ten Quarter Game fundraiser.

On Nov. 5, Burlington basketball hosted a fundraiser to raise money for their teams. All of the basketball members, as well as faculty, played a basketball game with interesting twists and turns. Some people in the crowd even came down and played in the game as well.

Throughout the game, parents and members of the community paid for the boys to do things like putting on dresses, using their off hand, and putting one of their shoes on their right hand. Others paid to give the girls more points when they were losing, make two people hold hands or tie two people together at the ankle.

People from the crowd joined a free throw contest at the end of the quarter with their relatives on the court. In the middle of the game, Riley Dowell and Weston Allen were picked by their teammates to compete in a hot-dog eating contest.

The students had a lot of fun playing in the game and raising money for their teams. After the fundraiser game, all of the students on the athletic teams were recognized by their coaches who also spoke about the upcoming season. A hot dog meal was provided for everyone in attendance.
