Burlington musicians rock spring concert with Motown favorites

DRUMLINE KEEPING THE BEAT – Burlington drummers Larry Heatherman, Cash Dotson and Bodie Cass are focused as they keep the beat during the Grades 7-12 Band's part of Burlington's spring music program featuring Motown favorites. They performed the hits "Gonna Fly Now," "Stand By Me" and "Louie, Louie."

Under the direction of Music Director Isi Ofiu, Burlington School's music department had the walls of the auditorium vibrating with some favorites of "Motown and More." At the spring concert, pre-K through high school band and vocal students performed classic favorites such as "We are Family," by Sister Sledge; "Sir, Duke," by Stevie Wonder; "My Girl," by The Temptations; "Respect," by the great Aretha Franklin; "Build Me Up, Buttercup," by The Foundations; "Celebration," by Kool and the Gang; and others that most everyone knows and loves to sing along with....
