Lynda Sue Hofen was born July 20, 1946, in Alva, Oklahoma, to parents Walter Vallance and Ila Mae Shroff Vallance and passed from this life on January 6, 2017, in Enid. She and Henry Hofen were married August 9, 1974 and they had lived in Cherokee, Oklahoma, since that time. She was a hair dresser/cosmetologist who had a shop in her home. Lynda had worked at the high school for a period of time. She loved working at Cherokee Food Bank and The Thrift Store and she was a regular contributor to St. Jude's.

The one family member who has preceded Lynda in death is her mother, Ila.
