Jimmie Lee Molz was born in Woods County, Oklahoma, on July 30, 1933, to parents Art Molz and Lola McMurtrey Molz and passed from this life on February 8, 2017, at his home in Hardtner.

After his graduation from high school Jim attended college at Northwestern in Alva. He and Beverly Moore were married July 17, 1954, in Kiowa, Kansas, and to this union four children were born: Judy, Cindy, Ron and Russell. Jim worked hard and became owner of Molz Oil Company.
