Letter carriers weigh in on hunger

• 4,142 pounds of food collected in Alva

 


Alva, Okla. – While donations are still rolling in, so far 4,142 pounds of food were collected in Alva as part of the Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. On Saturday, May 13, letter carriers in more than 195 central and western Oklahoma cities helped “Stamp Out Hunger” by collecting donations from residents on their mail routes. In Alva, donations benefit Alva Wesleyan Church in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
