Donated fans offer relief from heat

 


OG&E delivered 1,200 electric fans on June 20 to agencies serving low-income and elderly residents across its service area.

Each year the fan donation program helps those who are particularly vulnerable to the summer heat. The fans will be distributed by the agencies based on individual agency criteria for serving elderly and low-income Oklahomans.

The Department of Human Services, 509 E. Barnes, received 25 fans on Tuesday morning.

The Alva Fire Department is also distributing fans donated by Alva Kiwanis Club.
