Tourism Commission approves almost $60,000 to promote Alva

The Alva Tourism Tax Commission voted to pay an advertising agency to provide marketing services for Alva at the regular meeting Wednesday, June 21. The price tag is not to exceed $58,900. They also approved up to $1,000 for the same agency to produce a promotional video for Alva. That brings the total to $59,900.
Four of the five members of the tourism tax commission were present: Norville Ritter, Jaunita Dotson, Dr. Charles Tucker and Bryce Benson. Terri Parsons was absent. The agenda listed four other funding requests before the advertising agency items. Those are covered in a separate repo...
