Council to vote on utility rate increase

An increase in monthly rates for Alva utility services will be on the agenda for Monday’s city council meeting. The Alva City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the municipal building.
During a public hearing Wednesday, Aug. 9, residents were invited to express their opinions and questions about the utility rate increases being proposed. No public comment will be allowed before the vote on Resolution No. 2017-009 at Monday’s council meeting.
