Those who live or work in Alfalfa County are eligible to participate in Walktober, a walking competition set for the month of October. Walktober’s purpose is get people of all ages in Alfalfa County up and moving. Participants keep track of their minutes walking, jogging or running during the month of October, and then qualify for prizes. Anyone who lives, works or has children attending any school in Alfalfa County can participate. The month-long competition will run Oct. 1 – 31.
