Suspect fails to elude law enforcement

An Alva man is facing three misdemeanor charges after officers were called to a domestic disturbance on Green Meadows near Alva on Aug. 28 about 4:50 p.m.
Someone reported a man and woman were arguing in the front yard, but when the woman tried to leave the man grabbed and restrained her. Undersheriff Keith Dale, who received the report from dispatch, was about 20 miles away so requested the Alva Police Department to provide assistance. While Dale was driving, he heard Officer William Shahan report he was at the residence, and the man had fled on foot.
