The descendants of Lawrence and Zelma (Arb) Arndt held their annual reunion in Alva on Sunday, Sept. 3. There were 83 in attendance, representing five states. Of the original 11 Arndt children, nine are still living, and of those nine, seven were in attendance. Also in attendance were two Arb cousins. The family celebrated the upcoming birthday of Lyle Arndt who will turn 80 next month. Winners of prizes were as follows:

Oldest male: Lowell Arndt (89), oldest female: Glenda (Arndt) Yarberry (86), youngest in attendance: Issiac Carballo (3 months), most family members present: Wilford Arndt (19) and farthest distance traveled: Tim Arndt (788 miles).

The next reunion will be held on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, in Alva.
