SE Tripped up in Midweek Road Contest

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Southeastern took a midweek step out of conference play to take on Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, falling 3-0 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 5-16 on the year overall as they return to Great American Conference play on Oct. 6 and 7 to take on Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist, respectively.

On Tuesday SE was paced on offense by Abby Jamesonwho turned in seven kills, while Hallie Smith and Arianna Baker added six each.

Alissa Benson turned in 19 assists and added a block and 14 digs.

Caitlin Cosby led all defenders with 22, with Benson next in line while Grace Shehadeh added nine.

Smith added four blocks, including three solos, while Baker added two.

The Storm got off to a good start in the first set, but OCU would finish on a run for a 25-22 win.

An early run gave the Stars control of set two early as they pulled away for a 25-16 win in the set before picking up a 25-17 win in the third set to clinch the match.
