The Church of Christ Bible Chair in Alva is celebrating its 50 year anniversary. The Bible Chair was established in 1967 with the support of 20 surrounding churches. Hartsell Johnson, seated left in light colored jacket, was the first director. Jay Tyree, standing, is the current director. They and former directors Felix Kneuper, Jon Phillips and Gary Henson shared memories with the College Hill Church of Christ congregation Sunday, Oct. 15.
