University of Arizona wants to be leader in new tech era

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins says he would like to see the institution take the lead in artificial intelligence and automation, which he says will crucial in the so-called fourth industrial revolution that will bring new technologies.

The Arizona Daily Star reports Robbins announced at an annual luncheon by the southern Arizona economic-development agency, Sun Corridor Inc., that preparing for the fourth industrial revolution would be the university's role in regional economic development.
