St. Edward's strikes early to beat OC

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 21, 2017) – No. 16-ranked St. Edward's (Texas) scored three first-half goals and eventually beat Oklahoma Christian 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Eagle Soccer Field.
St. Edward's (12-3-1, 9-2-1 Heartland Conference) only outshot OC (3-10-2, 1-9-2) by an 11-9 count, but the Hilltoppers put plenty of their shots on target, particularly while going against a stout south wind in the opening half.
Dylan Armstrong put St. Edward's ahead in the 22nd minute, taking possession after the ball had bounced off an OC player and shooting from near the edge of the penalty box.
