The 2017 edition of Warmth for Winter has begun in earnest! Each day, we find more bags and boxes filled with warm winter clothing, quilts, shoes and ... well ... other stuff. And by “other stuff” I don’t mean the crown jewels of merry old England. Occasionally, we find things in the collection trailer that make us wonder why.

For instance, we occasionally find a single shoe, evidently separated from its life-time partner. Perhaps it is in search of a new “soul-mate.” Yeah, I like that one.

On a more sinister note, however, we have been known to find holey (not holy) underwear and the occasion...
