What’s the difference between second graders and college freshmen? The freshmen have better phones.

Since I teach general education classes and electives in religion, I get to spend a lot of time with “underclass” men and women. Some of them fit the above description to a T: first time away from home, hoping to make friends, feeling their freedom. But some of those young ones are definitely different.
