Murdock wins majority in Tuesday primary

According to unofficial totals for the Republican primary election for District 27 state senator, Casey Murdock of Felt received the most votes at 2,181 or 33.17 percent. Travis Templin followed with 1,856 (28.23 percent), and Carolyn McLarty received 1,520 votes (23.12 percent). Jeff Hall received 842 votes, Tommy W. Nicholson 117 and Michael Medill 59.

In Woods County, Templin garnered 35.64 percent of the votes followed by Murdock with 26.18 percent. Templin had 196 votes compared to Murdock’s 144. Carolyn McLarty received 124 votes, Jeff Hall 68, Michael Medill 11 and Tommy W. Nichol...
