Goldbugs narrowly defeat Longhorns 56-55

The Alva Goldbugs are still playing catch-up after their long-running football season. The home team is still getting their basketball moves in place but managed to pull out a one-point win 56-55 over Chisholm Thursday night.

The Longhorns kept the game exciting as the lead changed hands several times. Chisholm led 13-12 at the end of the first period and 25-24 at the half. Alva moved ahead in the third with a 40-37 margin, and the exciting 56-55 finish.
