Man gives deputy his brother's name

A Kansas man stopped for a seatbelt violation is now charged with impersonating another man, his twin brother.

Court records show about 4:55 p.m. on Jan. 3, Woods County Deputy Adam Honeyman stopped a blue Ford car on Flynn Street near Seiling Street in Alva. Honeyman had been sitting in his stationary vehicle when the car went past, and it appeared the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

When Honeyman approached the driver, he was wearing his seatbelt and claimed he had it on as he passed. However, Honeyman could see the belt was not fastened. When asked for a driver’s license, the man refused...
