SNU sweeps Permian Basin to take the series

ODESSA, Texas — Southern Nazarene swept its first doubleheader since March 29, 2016, and is above .500 for the first time through the first seven games of the season since 2010 after downing Texas-Permian Basin 12-7 and 3-2 Saturday.

The Crimson Storm are now 4-3 and take their first series of the 2018 season.

Unlike either of the games in the Friday doubleheader, both teams' bats came alive in the first game Saturday.

Nearly every spot in the lineup had a hit as the Storm had 14 hits total in the game. Tanner Maskey drove in three runs while going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored...
