Feb. 15 was Fred Neuman Day at the Alva Rotary Club meeting as Neuman turned a spry 93 years old. Guest speaker Todd Holder was present to inform the club about the new rodeo, but quickly changed to tales of how Neuman has been a great member of the Alva community (Alva Boys Choir, pianist, song leader, peanut brittle maker, trip planner and Bell Choir instructor) and an inspiration to so many generations of young men, including himself.
