Ranger baseball splits GAC doubleheader with Harding

The throw never came for Ranger third baseman Luis Mendoza (17) as the Harding runner made third safely in Saturday afternoon's contest.

ALVA, Okla. – When the Great American Conference schedule was released last month, the plan was for the Northwestern Oklahoma State baseball team to start its conference schedule on the road. However, no baseball schedule stays the same.

Due to the weather forecast in Arkansas, the conference opening series against Harding (Arkansas) was moved to Glass Family Field at Meyers Stadium, with the Rangers acting as the visiting team. The Rangers took advantage of the move, winning the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, 6-2, but fell in the nightcap 9-1.
