WICHITA, KAN. – Southeastern avenged a loss at its home tournament by sweeping a double-header on Saturday afternoon against Newman in Wichita, Kan., taking game one 7-5 in eight innings before picking up a 10-0 run-rule win in the nightcap.

The sweep lifts the Savage Storm to 6-7 overall on the year.

In the opener SE collected just three hits, with Elexis Watson turning in two and Karsyn Brigance adding the other.

However, Brigance would drive in two on her hit, a two-run shot, while Watson, Destiny Riddle, Keeshia Thompson, Sydnee Hinkle, and Kennedy Salyer each drove in one run.
