CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) — A 14-year-old Casa Grande boy has been arrested for allegedly threatening to commit a shooting at school, making it the third arrest in a day in Arizona involving threats of violence or weapons.

Casa Grande police spokesman Thomas Anderson said Thursday the teen has been booked into a juvenile facility for threats and intimidation after telling classmates he would "shoot up the school."

Anderson says students informed school staff Wednesday. Police found no weapons on him or his property.

Pinal County prosecutors will review the case.

Also on Wednesday, Scottsdale police arrested an 18-year-old for posting a threatening message along with a photo of him with an air rifle.

Peoria police arrested a student, also 18, who left his gun in a parked vehicle outside his school.
