Reddies Women's Golf Makes Big Jump, Finishes Tied for Third at MSU Invitational

Henderson State turned a tournament best single-round team total and jumped six spots to finish tied for third at the Midwestern State Women's Golf Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas.

After posting an opening round score of 324 on Monday landing them in ninth-place, the Reddies had a team score of 308 which was the best team round of the entire tournament as Henderson finished with a team score of 632.

Arkansas Tech won the 19-team tournament with a score of 624, followed by Midwestern State at 630. Henderson finished tied with West Texas A&M.

Taylor Loeb led Henderson with a 36-hole total of 155, carding a second round score of 75 to finish the tournament tied for fourth. Loeb's round on Tuesday included two birdies and 11 pars which landed her a spot on the all-tournament team.

Luisa Gartmann had the best individual round for the Reddies with a 74 moving her up 27 spots to finish tied for 11th with a two-day total of 156.

Hanna Brauburger shaved five strokes off her opening score, posting a 79 to tie for 35th with a 163 total on the par 72, 5,843-yard Wichita Falls Country Club Course.

Sarah Wright also improved on her first round score of 84, with an 80 on Tuesday for a 164 total placing her tied for 39th.

Allison Davis tied for 58th out of 98 competitors after posing a final round score of 90 for a 36-hole total of 168.
