Rattlers Take Win over Hillcats in Battle for First Place in Heartland Conference

CLAREMORE, Okla. – In a battle for first place in the Heartland Conference standings, visiting St. Mary's shutout the Rogers State softball team in an 8-0 game at the Diamond Sports Complex on Saturday (March 17).
With the win, the Rattlers won the series, 2-1, to go up in the league standings at 11-1. The Hillcats dropped to 9-3 in the league for second place and fell to 24-7 overall.
StMU took advantage of three RSU errors to plate eight runs, seven of them unearned, for the 8-0 score. The Rattlers started in the first inning with two runs. A singled drove in the only earned run of the game...
