Southwestern quiets OC bats to win nonconference game

WEATHERFORD, Okla. (March 20, 2018) – Three Southwestern Oklahoma State pitchers limited Oklahoma Christian to just three hits as the Bulldogs cruised to a 5-1 win over OC on Tuesday afternoon.

OC (8-9) managed only a second-inning single and seventh-inning solo home run by Brice Smith and a third-inning single by Garrett Wages against Southwestern (16-11) of the Great American Conference.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on Robert Perea's RBI single off OC left-hander Michael Basler (0-1), who was making his first start of the baseball season. Southwestern made it 2-0 in the...
