Ag meeting on impact of new tax laws and wheat drought issues

Agriculture producers who file an IRS Schedule F are going to see some significant changes in their 2018 tax preparation.

A new “Business Income Deduction” is going to directly affect agriculture producers and the amount of tax they pay. The second major issue involves the major changes in the depreciation rules that go into effect in 2018. Other changes include the alteration of the itemized deduction section of the tax law.
