Tyson Kolb of the Northwest Oklahoma Junior Rodeo Association tells the Alva Tourism Committee about plans for an Alva rodeo June 9-10.
The Alva Tourism and Convention Committee welcomed new member Connor Martin to his first meeting Wednesday evening. Chairman Norville Ritter and member Jaunita Dotson were also present to begin at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Charles Tucker arrived a little later, and Terri Parsons was absent.
The committee quickly approved the minutes of the last meeting and the financial report. After deducting grants yet to be paid, the committee has $509,766.23 available.
