March meeting of the Cherokee Outlet Chapter of the DAR

 


The Cherokee Outlet Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met for a scheduled meeting on March 8 in the Alva Public Library. After the opening rituals (including the flag salute of both the American and Oklahoma flags) the group worked to ensure that the local bylaws were consistent with those of the state and national organizations.

Each member also gave a list of what she or her household does to conserve our natural resources; some examples involved saving electricity, water and paper.
