Marianne Hoffmeister was in her home country of Chile when she learned of the Molten Capital Artist in Residence work program with Northwestern Oklahoma State University (NWOSU). She applied and was accepted and ended up in Alva, Oklahoma.

Her first drawing attempts started when she was a child. It didn't take long for her to decide that drawing would be her professional career and she headed off to art school. Hoffmeister told us that her interests have expanded to sculpture, photography, video and mixed media.
