Schubert-Akin finishes 2018 Boston Marathon and qualifies for next year, her 25th consecutive

Surpasses fundraising efforts for Multiple Sclerosis

It was the coldest, wettest Boston Marathon Jennifer Schubert-Akin can remember running in her 24 years, but she finished it to qualify for her 25th race in 2019.

She did it.

Despite facing the worst weather conditions she's ever seen in 24 consecutive times of running the Boston Marathon, Jennifer Schubert-Akin endured and finished the race. Light snow and sleet welcomed the runners in freezing temperatures with gusting winds and then rain continuing throughout the frigid day.

She wrote the following Facebook post after the race:

"I am totally amazed and grateful to our many friends for giving so generously to my run to end MS!! Thanks to all of you, we blew past our original goal of $10,000 and now stand at $14,015 ... the most we have ever raised in...
