RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Austin Gean has been named the Great American Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the first time in his Arkansas Tech career, the league office announced Wednesday.

Gean, a sophomore from Florence, Ala., is the fourth different Wonder Boy to receive the weekly conference honor this spring. Gean led Arkansas Tech to a first-place finish at the Natural State Classic earlier this week, as Gean's second-round 68 helped him climb 20 spots from Monday to Tuesday to tie for first.
