Bugs split Day 1 of Alva tournament

After being honored prior to the game as a part of the senior night ceromony, Cade Madsen (19) took the mound for the Goldbugs and struck out four Guymon batters in 4.2 innings of work to pick up the win.

ALVA, Okla. – Alva High School baseball opened its tournament on Thursday on the losing end of things with a 5-1 loss to Crossings Christian but rebounded in the days final game with a 11-3 victory over Guymon at Crenshaw Field.

Prior to the second game, Max Parsons, Zeth Warren, Cade Madsen, Jacob Faulkner, Stanton Earnest and T.W. Beiswanger were honored as a part of AHS senior night festivities. Each Goldbug senior played a pivotal role in the win over the Tigers.
